Do you know where the world champion comes from?
First it was related to a great military hero, a warrior...second the defender of those who could not defend themselves...later, someone who could win in sports.
In these times we live in, the majority supports more the champions of the arena, the public display gladiators, and how little we support those who serve in the army, and those that in private, fight for the rights and honor of others.
A friend told me the story of how his son, a medical surgeon, had stooped over an old man in the street, who had suffered a stroke and how against policy, he had helped him, arranged for him to be hospitalized and cared for. This act of courage was more impressive to him than all the degrees, and professional achievements, awards.
I look in the eyes of most people, especially those who own a business, or have a profession with success, and I see empty looks...and if Corporate America and its perks seemed attractive...the empty look inside these eyes is what sealed my fate as an Entrepreneur. I don't want to live with an empty look in my eyes. The most important act of bravery, championship is to be aware of this...and take action.
